Julie Kim, O.D.
Dr. Kim is the newest member of the LaFont Family Eyecare team. She was raised and completed all her education in Southern California. She is an honors graduate from Whitney High School in Cerritos and the University of California Los Angeles. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton. Dr. Kim has a six year old son and as such she is passionate about pediatric vision care. She recommends all children have an eye examination as early as possible and annually for the detection of eye problems that are often times undetected but affect learning and behavior. She also is an advocate of corneal reshaping therapy (CRT) which uses specially designed contact lenses to reshape the cornea to reduce myopia (nearsightedness) and enables children to be free of glasses during the day. She looks forward to providing comprehensive family eye care for you and your family. She provides eye care in English, Korean and Spanish.
